Traveling Mechanical Technician, Aluminum Extrusion Systems

Your impact
- Be the on-site problem solver alongside a lead technician, restoring and maintaining extrusion presses and their ancillary equipment.
- Contribute at our shop between trips—assembling, building, and repairing high-precision components.
Your starting point
- No prior experience is required.
- Strong mechanical inclination, basic hand tool use, and confidence taking apart and rebuilding mechanical assemblies.
Preferred background
- Millwright or industrial maintenance experience.
- Welding skills (stick and MIG).
- Hands-on time with aluminum extrusion and press maintenance.
Grow fast with real training
Start by learning to maintain and service aluminum extrusion presses, then choose where to specialize: welding, hydraulics, PLCs, controls, electrical systems, or engineering fundamentals.
Work and travel rhythm
- Shop: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- Field: Schedule varies with customer production; weekend work is common. We build in flexibility so you can recharge.
- Travel: Most trips last 4–5 days. Per diem and travel expenses are covered, typically using company vehicles. For longer projects that span weeks, we rotate team members to minimize time away.
