Job Description
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Job description: We are a small business looking for one person to work on a team to manage the day-to-day roles of an accountant/bookkeeper position. He/she would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
- Take all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices
- Pay any debt as it comes due for payment
- Monitor bank account
- Issue invoices to customers
- Remit sales tax
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
- Conduct a monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts
- Issue financial statements
- Provide information to external tax accountant
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain the chart of accounts
- Manage 401k updates or changes
- Manage Insurance enrollment and changes
- Record vendor acknowledgments
Qualifications:
- Experience in accounting
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Organized
- Ability to self-manage time and responsibilities
- Hard worker
